Chinese like to remember directions using their head not maps, if you tell a Chinese how to get to the location by pointing at a building or some land scape, he or she might be able to find it, but if you are showing them on a map, they will be lost for sure. The thing is that they are not used to maps so when they read maps they do not know how to convert to the real street data. This is true even with the people who is driving in the states for years, it is very hard for them to find the place on the map, but if they been to a place physically, then they will remember how to get there again by using the same route. I think Chinese need to get some education of how to read maps when they are young.
