MapPoint 2009 North America was released early this month with updated streets and a streamlined, simpified interface. A new set of Pushpin symbols and button icons replaces the “Windows 95″ style interface in all previous versions of MapPoint. The forward/back buttons are gone since they were rarely used and cluttered the interface, and the Select/Pan buttons are gone and the Select Area function is now performed by the right-click drag mouse operation.
