I recently came a cross a blog called organic SEO consultant. The site is run by a professional SEO consultant who offers tips on how to optimize your site for better organic rankings in the search engines. The blog also contains news about the search marketing industry, including comparison shopping engines. The author of the blog works for a large Internet marketing agency and has been in the industry for a while. He seems to offer really good and actionable recommendations for people, as opposed to many SEO blogs that just debate speculations in the industry.

I also really like the Twitter plugin that he uses at the top of the page. Twittering is like micro blogging because you can send 140 character messages into your Twitter account online, by email, or via text from you phone. And the plugin he uses on his blog posts all of his Twitters there on the site. It is actually pretty genius because you can get fresh content on your site very easily by Twittering! He also uses a cool Flickr plugin to display images from his account. The additions of these two plugins also shows that the author of this blog really understand that you need to engage your audience and create that personal connection with them. What better way to do this than to show your latest pics there and your latest ramblings via Twitter. So he does seem to actually be a prefessional SEO consultant and not just some kid rambling about speculations.

If you are looking to improve your site’s traffic this would be a great blog to follow. The author seems to be a very good SEO consultant and is pretty open. I’ll bet that if you comment on his blog that he would actually respond and help answer any questions that you might have.
